“As an observer riding in a police car in New York City, we saw the risks police officers take and how they put their lives on the line every time they go out. We realized how fortunate we have been in our lives, and we wanted to do and give something back to our community.”

– Tore and Mona Steen, Founders

The Utah 1033 Foundation is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Park City, UT. The foundation was established in 2011 to honor Utah’s fallen officers, by providing immediate financial support to their families. Then, in 2013, we also introduced the Leadership Awards Scholarship Program for the children of Utah’s active law enforcement officers. Our organization is run by a passionate Board of Directors and dedicated Board of Advisors; including some individuals that have been recipients of the foundation.

Our community’s broad skill base and philanthropic nature allow us manage the organization with minimal expenses — relying on a considerable amount of donated time and effort. As a result, almost all of the financial contributions to the foundation go directly to the families of fallen officers. In other words, when you donate, you can rest easy knowing your donation is going to the right place.
